Our Story

Dance with Miss Alice was born from a passion to show children just how wonderful they are through the joy of dance.

Having a love of both dance and working with children, Alice felt a true calling to impact kids’ lives positively. She recognized the need for a fresh approach to dance education that moved beyond rigid traditions. Her vision was to create a supportive space where celebration, creativity, focus and fun could all blossom together with good dance technique—so that kids always feel good about themselves.

We are a supportive dance school that values kindness and progress over competition. We provide multiple performance opportunities every year to instill confidence, teamwork and above all—a love of dance— in all our students.

Meet Miss Alice

It All Started When…

Miss Alice spent countless hours in front of the mirror dancing in her childhood Sydney home where music was constantly playing. When Alice was five she cried the moment she saw her best friend dancing on stage and realized she wanted to be there, too. Thank goodness her mother enrolled her in a ballet class, and shortly after the journey began.

She Moved Around The World

From sharing the stage with Kylie Minogue in Sydney, to taking her world-class training to San Francisco, Miss Alice’s experience blends performing with over 20 years of teaching. She earned a Degree in Education from Melbourne University and has created kids’ dance curriculum in both Australia and the USA.

Discovering the Magic of Enchantment

In San Francisco, Miss Alice discovered a new love for writing kids music. She developed a princess ballerina character, having a strong vision to connect children with traditional early learning concepts, while challenging the way princesses were defined.

Dance with Miss Alice Comes To Life in LA

Miss Alice realized a dream in 2015. It all begun in a little studio in Venice with just two students and quickly grew to more locations, including Topanga, Brentwood & outdoors in 2020. Since then thousands of happy kids have danced with Miss Alice.

Meet Our Team of Teachers

    Miss Haley

    Miss Haley grew up in the mountains of North Carolina, training in all styles of dance since the age of two! She graduated with a BA in Dance and Spanish from Loyola Marymount University and loves that she can now teach as a part of pursuing a career in dance. Miss Haley has been a treasured DWMA teacher since 2021. Her favorite thing about teaching is guiding her students to discover their potential, building their self-confidence, and of course, sharing her love of dance!

    Miss Ashton

    Miss Ashton is a recent graduate of AMDA where she pursued a BFA in dance. Her favorite dance style is jazz, where elegance and fun shine together. Miss Ashton brings her elegant and fun style to all her classes. Having spent a covid gap year teaching at both her mother's preschool and at her childhood dance studio in Northern California, Miss Ashton has a deep desire to share her love of dance with children.

    Miss Isa

    Miss Isa hails from North Carolina where she grew up training at a competitive studio in various styles of dance. Isa was a ballet major at USC School of Arts, where she discovered her love for dance education. Her favorite thing about being a DWMA teacher since 2021 is watching her students grow as dancers & people. Miss Isa believes teaching is a privilege & thrives on teaching great technique, building up confidence in her students & showing them they’re capable of achieving all their dreams!

    Miss Emma

    Emma is a dedicated dancer and choreographer from San Antonio, Texas. Her passion for dance started at the young age of two and she quickly fell in love with the art form, dancing competitively growing up. Emma continued to pursue dance on a collegiate level, earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts, from AMDA. Emma loves exploring artistry and creating movements that inspire her students to free themselves with the magic of both music and movement.

    Miss Bethany

    Bethany brings dynamic graceful movement everywhere she goes. From studying dance in Thailand, China, New York and Los Angeles, the arts have been a poignant part of Bethany's life story. She's studied styles ranging from Thai Dance, Chinese Folk, Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, Hip Hop to Tap & Jazz. A beloved Dance with Miss Alice teacher since 2018, Miss Bethany brings her diverse style & kindhearted dance spirit to every class & loves watching her students blossom as they learn and grow!

    Miss Dani - Admin

    A beloved teacher since 2020 and now our amazing administrator, Miss Dani has graciously danced her way from the studios of the Midwest where she grew up, to the stages of NYC. Miss Dani believes that the power of dance can strengthen, heal, connect and "move" the masses. Her ultimate goal is to inspire students to dance to the beat of their own drum and stretch outside of their comfort zone!
